NLP

“You can’t always control what happens, but you can always control how you deal with it” Richard Bandler, How to Take Charge of Your Life, The User’s guide to NLP

I love this quote! It speaks volumes to me. Therein lies the power, always, even in the darkest times, you have power over how you react and how you react has a considerable ripple effect. I had heard much about NLP and wanted to know how it could help me lead my best life and help others do the same.

I studied with NLP Life Training and I qualified in May 2018 as a Neuro Linguistic Programming Practioner!  The Practioner Programme was led by Richard Bandler, who is one of the creators of NLP. He is an awe-inspiring life force and it was pretty amazing to learn from the NLP guru. On our final day of training, I pledged with all the other magnificent practioners to use my NLP learnings to make this world a better place! I cried! The training blew my mind open with beautiful possibilities! I felt emotional, empowered, strong, full of purpose with a delicious renewed energy for this glorious life.

So what is all the fuss about, what is NLP? Neuro = Neurology, our nervous system where we receive and process information for the outside world; Linguistic = Language – ours, how we interpret other people’s, our body language and our internal voice;  Programming = how that neural language functions, we can programme it to achieve the results that we want. Therefore NLP is learning the language of your own mind. Once you understand this, you considerably improve your understanding of yourself and are better equipped to understand and help others. I have weaved my NLP learnings into my writing, held several NLP healing sessions for friends and family, and I plan to integrate it into future workshops and one on one sessions. It is an area that fascinates me and where I can continue to grow.
